Fedora :
Fedora
is a set of projects sponsored by Red Hat and guided by the Fedora
Foundation. These projects are developed by a large community of people
who strive to provide and maintain the very best in free, open source
software and standards. Fedora Core, the central Fedora project, is an
operating system and platform based on Linux which is always free for
anyone to use, modify, and distribute, now and forever.

Live
CD :
This
supplement of Fedora Live CD is created by Kadischi.
Live CD is a tool that enables users to run an Operating system and/or
application directly from CD or any external media without being it
installed on the harddisk. This is also a good tool to evaluate any
software product as well as to use it for demonstration.

Fedora
Core
Fedora Core
is the heart of the Fedora distribution. This project maintains the
packages that make up Fedora systems.
Fedora
Extras Project
The
Fedora Extras project provides thousands of high-quality
software packages to extend the software available in Fedora Core.
Experienced software packagers review every package accepted into
Fedora Extras. Extras repositories are enabled by default as of Fedora
Core 4, so packagers for Fedora Extras have a potential audience of
hundreds of thousands of users.
All
software packagers are welcome to participate in the Fedora Extras
Project.
Fedora
Documentation Project
The goal of the Fedora
Documentation Project is to
create easy-to-follow,
task-based documentation for Fedora Core users and developers. Other
than the Installation Guide, each document is in article format, with
one article per topic. This way, writers can contribute documentation
about a specific topic without having to worry about how it fits into a
manual or how it flows with other topics. Since the documents are for
the Fedora Project, they only need to describe how to perform tasks
with Fedora Core.
Fedora Translation
Project
The goal of
the Fedora
Translation Project is
to translate all
software and documentation associated with the Fedora Project into
every language. Currently, Fedora is translated into over 20 languages,
but help is always needed.
Fedora
Ambassadors Project
Fedora
Ambassadors are enthusiasts who spread
the word about
Fedora, Linux, and free/libre open source software (FLOSS) to the wider
public. Ambassadors represent Fedora at events worldwide, and also act
as Fedora experts in their own communities. The Fedora Project supports
Ambassadors with business cards, trade show kits, presentation
materials, collaboration with other Ambassadors, and other resources.
Fedora
Education
Fedora
Education is an initiative to help teachers,
students, and
staff around the world take full advantage of open source technology.
Fedora
Legacy
Fedora Legacy extends
the life of Fedora Core releases by providing continued updates and
support.
Fedora
Infrastructure
Fedora
Infrastructure provides
many of the critical technologies that keep the Fedora Project running.
Fedora
Websites
Fedora
Websites, an initiative under
Fedora Infrastructure, aims to
develop and maintain the Fedora Project formal websites and to
coordinate with community websites.
Plague
Build System
Fedora
Extras uses a Build
System based on Mach which uses a
Yum backend.
Kadischi
Kadischi is
a tool for generating Fedora-based live CDs and DVDs. It
is still in the early stage of development, but has basic functionality
and can be run successfully.
Stateless
Linux
The
Stateless
Linux project is an OS-wide initiative to ensure that
Fedora computers can be set up as replaceable appliances, with no
important local state.
Fedora
Printing
The
Fedora Printing
Project's goal is to create a good printing experience on Fedora.
Fedora
Rendering
Fedora Rendering focuses on
enhancing the rendering model of the
Fedora desktop to provide a smoother, faster, prettier, and more
pleasant user experience.
Fedora
OLPC
The
Fedora OLPC
Project contributes to the One Laptop
per Child initiative.
Fedora
Community Free Media
Fedora
Community Free Media,
a volunteer initiative under the Fedora
Ambassadors Program, aims to distribute Fedora Core media (DVDs) for
free to individuals. Local Fedora Ambassadors or Contributors are
invited to participate.
